I read and thoroughly enjoyed THE LORD OF THE RINGS and Ursula K. LeGuin's WIZARD OF EARTHSEA series-- but aside from those books, I've never been a fan of sword and sorcery. I'm more drawn to thrillers and action/adventure series in the vein of Lee Child's REACHER novels. But now there's BANDER-- a kind of cool hybrid of genres I love-- a fantasy/mystery/thriller series. A combination of the action, excitement and physicality of REACHER/DIE HARD/BOURNE, and the rich mythology and other-worldliness of GAME OF THRONES. I look forward to reading and reviewing the other books in this highly addicting series.Product details

Randy Nargi is one of my favorite authors, and I really enjoy this Bander series. The series blends high fantasy with the fast pace of an action thriller and the twists and turns of a mystery novel. Bander as the protagonist has had a storied career but is still a force to be reckoned with as he ages. Grab this and the other books for an enjoyable read!
A fun, quick read and highly recommended for fans of sword and sorcery. Nargi's style is cinematic with fast pacing of and snappy dialog. The fantasy world he's developed reminds me of Fritz Leiber cut with the jaded eye of Sam Spade. Enjoy!
